Quick Start – LAD project

1. Start PC NEED program.
2. Create a new project, e.g. File > New.
    Select a Relay type and project type LAD.
3. Create a program, e.g. like the one below:



In order to select a number or function of an element, display the Contact Settings. This is done by double clicking the left button of the mouse on the field of a given element.



 In order to obtain a visible timer time 1s .000ms  as in Item 3, the fields of Time shall be filled for T1 in the Settings (F10) or switch or menu Relay > Settings.



4. Configure the RS232 serial port: Configuration > Program > COM – select the appropriate (available) port.  This operation should be repeated on the first start only, or when a communication port must be changed.

5. Check the configuration of the LAD project: Configuration > LAD Project. The option: Save Settings together with the program code should be selected.



6. Set the relay to STOP mode (switch or Menu Relay > Stop).



7. Load the program to the relay memory: switch or Relay > Transmission > Write to the relay.



8. Switch the relay to RUN mode (switch  or Menu Relay > Run). Q1 output should flash (cyclical 1-second on and cyclical 1-second off)
