The programmable should be connected to the PC
using a dedicated cable.
Should the power supply conductors i.e. the phase (L) and neutral
(N) conductors, be interchanged when connecting to the power supply
terminals of the programmable relay, dangerous voltages can be
present at the communication terminal of the relay.
1. Start PC Need.
2. Create new project e.g. File > New select the
appropriate relay type in the selection window (see figure below)
and select STL in the “Project type” field.
3. Write a program e.g. such as the one below.
4. Connect the computer to the relay and carry out configuration of
the RS232 serial port. Configure > Program > Port COM
– select the proper (free) port. The operation must be repeated
only for the first start of the program or if the communication
port is to be changed.
5. Set the relay to STOP mode (using switch or Device
>Stop).
6. Load the program to the memory of the relay: Device >
Transmission > Send.
Switch the relay over to the RUN mode (using the switch or
Device > Run) and feed the signal (high state) to the I1
input. The Q1 output should flash (1-second on and 1-second
off).
